When you process a direct booking through Booklee, the transaction is subject to a Direct Booking Commission. This commission is a defined percentage of the total gross booking value, designed to support the continuous improvement and operation of our platform.
Commission Calculation: The commission is calculated by multiplying the gross value of the booking by the direct booking commission percentage. This calculation applies universally, irrespective of the currency of the booking's gross value. For example, a direct booking valued at $100 with a commission rate of 3.7% would result in a $3.70 commission. In this example, the commission amount of $3.70 reflects the Direct Booking Commission.
Adjustments to Commission Percentage: Please be aware that the commission percentage is subject to change. We will provide advance notice of changes to this rate to our clients, maintaining transparency and allowing for necessary adjustments in your planning
No Minimum or Maximum Charge: Booklee does not impose a minimum or maximum absolute value for the Direct Booking Commission.
Non-refundable Policy: Direct booking commissions are charged at the time of the successful reservation by guests. In the event of a cancellation, Booklee will only retain the direct booking commission from the portion of the booking amount that is not refunded to the guest.
This means:
- If a guest or the host cancels a booking and the guest is entitled to a full refund as per the host's cancellation policy, Booklee will not charge any direct booking commission, as the host will not receive any payment from this booking.- If a guest or the host cancels a booking and the guest is partially refunded as per the host's cancellation policy, indicating that the host keeps a portion of the booking amount, Booklee will only retain the direct booking commission calculated on the non-refunded amount kept by the host.
The retained direct booking commission is meant to cover the costs associated with the facilitation of services provided by Booklee.
Notice and Agreement: By using Booklee's platform for direct bookings, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in not only this Direct Booking Commission clause but every clause outlined in our Terms & Conditions. We encourage you to review this section periodically for any updates or changes.
Dispute Resolution: Should you have any questions or disputes regarding the Direct Booking Commission, we encourage you to contact our customer support team for assistance at [email protected]. We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and fairly.
