Nordic bath

Please take care to ready the instructions outside and use the Nordic bath accordingly.

If the bath has not been working for several days, the minimum heating time is 4 hours.

Fire wood is in the garage. There is a log splitter at the house to cut up logs into smaller pieces needed to start a fire easily. The remote control for opening the garage is on the table in the living room. Please place it back there when you check out.

The Nordic bath must be permanently covered. The cover should only be removed during bathing.

The ideal temperature is between 38° and 41°.

Never remove logs and embers from the oven, even if the water is too hot.

Please use only plastic cups for drinks in the Nordic bath. It's less pretty but helps to prevent accidents.

We kindly ask you to wash your feet before entering the bath and if possible, to take a shower.

First fire:

  • check that the water level is correct and well above the mouth to prevent damage to the stove
  • prepare the firewood: with the help of the log splitter in the garage, cut the wood into pieces of around 5 Ø cm to get the fire started more easily
  • fill the hearth well to the top
  • reload wood every 20-30 minutes and don't forget to use the paddle to move the water around after each reload, to ensure the temperature is homogeneous
  • once the temperature has reached 37°: put only 2-3 small logs into the fire to maintain the heat but not more, otherwise the water will get too hot.

Subsequent fires:

  • check the water level again before starting a new fire
  • empty and clean the stove first
  • 2-3 logs are enough to maintain the temperature
